The Learning Centres are used to extend the challenges of exploring the physical world. Certain periods of the day allow for playtime when the students can be on their own. Additional courses offer group activities led by the teacher, and children are encouraged to participate. There are also regular daily activities like stories, snacks, outdoor play, calendar, weather, news and clean up time.
Children learn through sensory experiences and they need to manipulate, explore and experiment with real objects. They learn by doing, moving and talking. Children are naturally curious about the world and want to learn about it. They are active learners and learn in different ways. Playing is the hard work of children. As they play, they check information, integrate ideas from past experience, explore and experience the environment.
